GEOTECH introduces a new range of intense metallic pearlescent pigments. The new products belong to the well known Geopearl Crystal product line, a collection of special effect pigments based on synthetic mica and available in a wide variety of colours and particle sizes, ranging from matte to glittering effects.
The six new pigments in the line include:
- Geopearl Crystal Bright Titanium
- Geopearl Crystal Bright Amber
- Geopearl Crystal Bronze
- Geopearl Crystal Copper
- Geopearl Crystal Russet
- Geopearl Crystal Pumpkin Orange
The Titanium and Amber shades have a particle size distribution of 10 – 100 microns, providing both covering and brightness to decorative coatings and paints, plastics, arts and crafts and printed products. The new Bronze, Copper, Russet and Pumpkin Orange shades have a particle size distribution of 10 – 60 microns, enabling developers to create an infinite range of visual metallic effects.
Geopearl® Crystal is a range of premium quality pearlescent pigments. The characteristic shimmer of Geopearl® Crystal pigments has been designed to match the unique lustre of natural pearls. The basic structure is a platelet synthetic mica which is coated with a metal oxide. GEOTECH offers titanium dioxide and iron oxide coated synthetic pearlescent pigments.
Resulting from reflected, refracted and transmitted light patterns, developed at the multiple interfaces between the layers, Geopearl® Crystal pigments provide unsurpassed performance in brightness and colour play varying from white to metallic earth tone effects.
Reflective effects from matte softness (1 – 5 µm) to scattering reflection (100 – 1000 µm) can be obtained by a wide variety of particle sizes. The total range contains over 50 products.
